WSU Athletics Announces 2025 Hall of Fame Class

DETROIT -- Five former Wayne State University student-athletes have been selected for induction into the Wayne State University Athletic Hall of Fame, along with the first team ever to be selected.

The class of 2025 includes women's ice hockey forward Lindsay DiPietro (2005-2009), track thrower Elizabeth (Herriman) Willnow (2014-2017), baseball pitcher Kyle Hill (2004-2007), men's basketball forward Chuck Key (2014-2018), and football kicker/punter Stefan Terleckyj (2010-2013).

The 1955-56 WSU men's basketball squad will become the first team to be inducted into the WSU Athletic Hall of Fame.

"The Hall of Fame represents the very best of Warrior Athletics, those who have set the standard through their dedication, leadership, and achievement," remarked WSU Director of Athletics Erika Wallace. "This year's inductees reflect that excellence, both individually and collectively. We're proud to recognize outstanding contributions that have left a lasting legacy on our department, and to honor those whose impact continues to inspire the next generation of Warriors."

"This year is especially meaningful as we induct our first-ever team. Recognizing a team allows us to celebrate the power of unity and shared achievement. This milestone reflects the depth of our history and the pride we have in those who built the foundation we stand on today."

The WSU Athletic Hall of Fame membership will increase to 280 individuals and one team with the inductions this October.

THE WAYNE STATE ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3 AT THE EASTERN. BANQUET TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE FOR $75 (Includes football game ticket the next day) BY CLICKING HERE. The induction class will also be introduced at the October 4th Homecoming football game vs. Michigan Tech.

The induction ceremony will start at 6 p.m. at The Eastern, which is located at 3434 Russell Street, Suite 501 in Detroit.
