DETROIT -- As Ernie Harwell would say, "It's looooooong gone!" The Wayne State University baseball program will host its sixth annual Home Run Derby Fundraiser on Tuesday, September 23 at the Detroit Tigers' Comerica Park. The event is
FREE to attend, starts at 7 p.m. and spectators can get in through
Meijer Gate D.
Each team will have a designated hitter that will hit as many home runs as possible in 60 seconds. For every additional $25 pledged, each team will receive an additional two seconds hitting, so every second counts.
All proceeds will go directly to the Wayne State University baseball team to assist with team priorities. In addition, the team of players that raises the most money and has the most home runs will earn special team rewards. Donate to help your favorite team gain more time. Each team's hitter will be listed in
bold below.
