Cross Country and Track & Field Run-A-Thon Entering Final Stage

DETROIT -- On Sunday, August 3rd, the Wayne State University Cross Country and Track & Field program, under the direction of head coach Grant Lofdahl, took part in its fifth annual Run-A-Thon.  The 2025 event resulted in WSU Cross Country and Track & Field student-athletes, coaches, and fellow Athletics teammates running, biking, and hiking over 750 miles.

Over 200 student-athletes, coaches, and administrators have participated in the event's history, resulting in more than 2,700 miles being run, biked, or hiked.

Funds raised during the 2025 event campaign will be directed towards competition costs (food, travel, lodging, etc.) for both cross country squads, plus the indoor and outdoor track & field teams.

The campaign is live until this Sunday, August 10th.  Help the Warriors make a final push to reach their goal of raising $20,000 by making a gift here!

To date, more than $80,000 has been raised since the event's inception.  Money raised in the past has been used towards vital program needs such as uniforms, cross country camp and competition travel costs.
