DETROIT -- The Wayne State University women's tennis squad will hit the road once more, this time heading to Bowling Green State University for the Hidden Duals this weekend (September 26-27).
LAST TIME OUT
Last week, WSU opened the 2025-26 campaign at the Charger's Fall Invitational, which was hosted by Hillsdale College. In singles competition, Wayne State student-athletes notched an 11-8 mark, while going 5-4 in doubles. The Green and Gold's top performer was
Justine Beaulieu (Montreal, Que.), who won her singles draw by going 3-0, and added a 2-1 ledger in doubles with partner
Martyna Szpakowska (Gdansk, Poland).Â
Malak Arafat (Alexandria, Egypt)
Shantala Uzcategui (Hoyo de La Puerta, Venezuela), and
Shanice Weekes (London, England) each went 2-1 in singles.
WEEKEND OUTLOOK
Joining Wayne State this weekend will be Butler University, the University of Findlay, and tournament host BGSU. On Friday, WSU will square off in singles competition against Butler at 11:00 AM, followed by a 1:00 PM singles match with Findlay, and will close the day with a 4:30 PM doubles contest against UF. The Green and Gold will begin with doubles on Saturday, seeing action against pairings from BU at 10:00 AM and duos from Bowling Green at 11:00 AM. The Warriors will end the weekend with singles play against BGSU at 3:00 PM.
