Women's Outdoor Track Season Begins At Two Locations In St. Louis

Warriors produce three all-time top-10 marks in program history.

ST. LOUIS -- Seven members of the Wayne State University women's track and field squad began the outdoor season on Friday competing at two different meets.  Three individuals participating at the Washington University Distance Carnival turned in all-time top-10 marks in WSU program history.

At the St. Louis University Speed and Power Festival, Anna Gdowski (Jr., Northville, Mich.) and Robin Bresolin (Gr., LaSalle, Ont. / St. Thomas of Villanova) both competed inthe 1,500m event.  Gdowski placed 11th in a time of 4:47.18, while Bresolin finished 33rd clocking in at 5:05.07.

In addition, Kenny Minto, a member of the men's cross country squad, ran the 1,500m and placed 12th in a time of 4:03.69.

Competing at the Washington University Distance Carnival on Friday were:

1500m (School Record - 4:30.53, Brittany Johnson, 2014)
Emily Gordon (Gr., Northville, Mich.), 12th, 4:33.98 [3rd in School History] - best 1,500m time since 2014.
