WSU Football - 2026 Tight Ends

DETROIT -- With less than two weeks until the season opener, this position preview for the 2026 Wayne State University football team features the tight ends coached by Cleandre Robinson.

The tight end contingent may earn the nickname of the killer "B's" as the group consists of graduate student Blake Nelson (West Bloomfield, Mich. / Walled Lake Central [Toledo]), redshirt freshmen Brock Carpenter (Sterling Heights, Mich. / Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest) and Brody Videto (Parma, Mich. / Western), and incoming freshman Brody Stack (Howell, Mich.).

After not seeing any game action in his first four years of college, Nelson appeared in all 11 games in 2025, making his lone start at Roosevelt. He made two catches a season ago.

Carpenter dressed for four games (Tiffin, Findlay, Michigan Tech and Grand Valley State) in 2025, but did not see any playing time, while Videto did not dress for any games a year ago.

Stack was a three-year letterwinner for coach Brian Lewis at Howell High School. He caught three touchdown passes as a senior as the Highlanders compiled a 9-2 record, including a 49-yard touchdown reception vs. Belleville.
