Biography

Drafted in the 16th round (477th overall) in the July 2024 MLB Draft by the Boston Red Sox.

Career Notes:  Appeared in 34 games, while making 23 starts (six complete games) across three seasons ... registered a career-best 2.44 ERA and seven victories during the 2023 campaign ... tallied first career shutout performance with a nine inning, 14 strikeout effort in Florida against Purdue Northwest on March 14, 2024.

2024:  Selected Second Team All-GLIAC ... recorded a 4.00 ERA and 6-3 record in 81 innings pitched and 12 appearances, all of which were as the starter ... tossed five complete games, more than any other pitcher in the league ... struck out 81 batters while walking only 21 with a batting average against of .274 ... named GLIAC Pitcher of the Week on March 18 as well as D2 Baseball Insider and NCBWA National Pitcher of the Week on March 20 thanks to a complete game, one-hitter against Purdue Northwest (March 14) with 14 strikeouts and no walks  ... aside from going the distance in nine frames against the Pride, also finished the game on Feb. 17 against Hillsdale, April 6 vs. Saginaw Valley State, April 13 at Parkside and April 20 against Grand Valley State ... on March 14 against PNW, the Pride's first hit didn't come until one out had been recorded in the top of the eighth inning and that effort marked his second nine-inning complete game ... four of his first five outings of the season were quality starts and season ERA was at 2.36 through those initial 34.1 frames of work ... also turned in a quality start on April 13, April 26 at Davenport and May 3 vs. Purdue Northwest ... defensively, registered a .938 fielding percentage with six putouts and nine assists to just one error on 16 chances ... part of one double play as well ... 2023:  Named to the All-GLIAC Honorable Mention Team ... earned a spot on the GLIAC All-Tournament Team (10.0 IP, 1.80 ERA, 2 BB, 5 SO) ... appeared in 15 games overall (tied-for-second on the team), 10 of which were as the starter (7-3 record), while recording a team-low 2.44 ERA (second in the GLIAC) in 62.2 innings with 46 strikeouts, 15 walks, a .256 batting average against, and 1.21 WHIP (third on the team) ... those seven wins were good for fifth in the league ... threw the first complete game of his career when his team needed it the most, the GLIAC Tournament elimination game against Grand Valley State on May 14 ... that day, tossed nine innings of two-run ball with eight hits allowed, two free passes and four punchouts on 115 pitches ... lasted 6.1 innings on March 12 against Sioux Falls (4 H, 0 BB, 8 SO) and teamed up with David Thurman for a combined shutout ... that effort was one of three with a career-high eight strikeouts along with April 30 vs. Parkside (8.0 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 SO) and his next outing against Davenport on May 7 in the regular season finale (6.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 8 SO) ... that victory over the Panthers broke the school record for team wins in a season with 38 ... gave up just three earned runs in 9.2 frames of work out of the bullpen, including his first career save vs. Parkside on May 11 (1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 SO) in Wayne State's first game of the GLIAC Tournament ... threw two scoreless innings against No. 2 Quincy on May 18 in the NCAA Midwest Regional and season finale with one walk and a strikeout ... struck out multiple batters in eight outings, including five with four or more punchouts ... his other performance with four or more strikeouts came against Seton Hill on March 9 (2.2 IP, 1 H, 0 BB, 4 SO) ...  selected GLIAC Pitcher of the Week on March 13 after an ERA of just 0.79 in 11.1 innings pitched ... defensively, finished with a 1.000 fielding percentage on 11 chances with six putouts and five assists ... tied for the team lead with two pickoffs ... totaled 13 strikeouts looking ...
