Women's Fencing Competes at Northwestern

Junior Mycah Slade led WSU on Saturday.

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Four members of the Wayne State University women's fencing team competed at Northwestern's Remenyik Open on Saturday.

FOIL RESULTS
Junior Mycah Slade (Detroit, Mich. / Cass Tech) finished 16th overall after going 3-3 during pool competition and then 2-1 in the head-to-head portion of the event.

Junior Alyssa Hirsch (Huntington Woods, Mich. / International Academy) went 4-4 to tied-for-25th, while junior Ellie Brenner (San Diego, Calif. / Westview) went 2-5. Junior Brooklyn Miller (South Lyon, Mich.) won one of her seven bouts.
