Makenzie Wellner had a strong outing at the GLIAC Championships this past weekend, helping the Warriors grab second place.  The Warriors tallied 139.50 points, which obliterated the previous school record of 77.83. 
Wellner recorded two GLIAC Championships, but the first came by winning the 400m hurdles in a school-record time of 1:03.32. Her next GLIAC Title came with three other student-athletes, as Wellner anchored the winning 4x400m relay.  The team collected a time of 3:53.73, which was the fourth-fastest time in program history and the fastest in more than six years.
Due to her incredible work at the GLIAC Championships, Wellner was honored as the Female Freshman Track Athlete of the Meet. Â
