* GAME STORYLINES
Fresh off its 70-44 win over Madonna on Tuesday, the Wayne State women's basketball team will look to begin 2010 like it ended 2009 as the Warriors host Northwood on Saturday. A win against the Timberwolves would give WSU its first back-to-back wins of the year.

* ON THE BENCH
Gloria Bradley is in her 10th season at WSU and 17th season overall. Bradley's record at Wayne State is 110-145 while her career record stands at 224-214.

In her time at Wayne State, Bradley is 5-6 against Northwood.

Northwood is led by Jeff Curtis who is in his sixth year as the Timberwolves' coach. Curtis has a career record of 72-72.

* SERIES NOTES
Northwood holds a 25-18 lead over WSU including five consecutive wins against the Warriors.
Wayne State's last win over Northwood came on Jan. 7, 2006 when current WSU assistant coach Kristen Rogers drained seven three-pointers and scored 24 points to lead the Warriors past the Timberwolves 80-53.

WSU holds a 6-4 advantage in the past 10 games played at the Matthaei.

In their last meeting on Dec. 9, the Timberwolves handed the Warriors a 75-39 defeat. Sophomore guard Felicia Thomas and junior guard Chelsea Kouri both scored 12 points in the loss while freshman forward Deanna Crumpton grabbed 11 rebounds.

* SCOUTING NORTHWOOD
Since their win over Wayne State on Dec. 9, the Timberwolves have produced a record of 2-2.
Pam Wilson has led Northwood this season by averaging 17 points and 9.1 rebounds per game which ranks fourth and second in the GLIAC respectively. Jodi Ostergren has also chipped in 12.2 ppg and 6.7 rpg.

Injuries have plagued Northwood this season with Sara Pawlaczyk, Rachel Church and Beth Brown all being lost for the year.

As a team, Northwood shoots 73.6 percent from the foul line and averages 8.1 steals per game.

* HOME SWEET HOME
The cozy confines of the Matthaei have been much friendlier to the Warriors this season than their trips away from home.

In its five away games Wayne State shoots just 29.1 percent (94-for-323) from the field, 32.4 percent (33-for-102) from three-point range and 61.4 percent from the foul line (35-for-57).

However, those numbers jump up to 38.5 percent (117-for-304), 32.1 percent (25-for-78) and 73.3 percent (44-for-60) in WSU's five home games this season. The Warriors also average more rebounds (38.0-34.6), assists (10.0-9.2), steals (10.6-7.8) and points (60.6-51.2) at home than they do on the road.

*WSU IN THE GLIAC
As a team, WSU ranks first in the GLIAC in offensive rebounds per game (15.0), second in field goals attempted per game (62.7) and fifth in steals per game (9.2).

* FAST BREAKS
-Tuesday's win over Madonna marked the first time since Feb. 28, 2009 that WSU saw four players reach double digit point totals.

-Wayne State's 56 rebounds against Madonna were the most since WSU's 58 rebound effort vs. Central State on Nov. 21, 2006.

-Crumpton and fellow freshman forward Latosha Beasley collected 11 and 10 rebounds respectively vs. the Crusaders, marking the first time this season that two Warriors had 10 or more rebounds in a game.

-This season, WSU has played a game on everyday of the week but Monday.

* MADONNA RECAP
