* GAMES 13-14 STORYLINES

Wayne State begins a four-game homestand this Thursday after suffering back-to-back losses for the first time this season last week.

The Warriors are 5-0 at home this season and have won seven straight at the Matthaei since a 72-64 setback to Lake Superior on Feb. 7, 2009.WSU is second in the GLIAC South Division, one game behind Findlay and one game in front of both Ashland and Northwood.

* FINDLAY RECAP

Wayne State had its three-game winning streak snapped by Findlay as the Oilers posted an 88-65 home court victory for their 82nd consecutive regular-season triumph at Croy Gymnasium.

UF scored the first six points of the game as the Warriors were held scoreless for the first three minutes until a jumper by Ike Udanoh.  Udanoh would also score on WSU's next two possessions, but two UF three pointers gave the hosts a 12-6 lead.

Wayne State would get within six points just once more, 16-10, after a layup by Bryan Edwards at the 11 minute mark of the opening half.  A 13-4 Oiler run gave Findlay its largest lead of the first 20 minutes.
WSU trailed 40-27 at intermission despite shooting 48 percent (12-of-25) from the floor.

Findlay outscored the Warriors 15-4 to start the second half and Wayne State was not able to get closer than 16 the rest of the way.

* HILLSDALE RECAP

The Warriors suffered their eighth consecutive setback at Hillsdale's Jesse Philips Arena, falling 71-60 to the host Chargers.

The Warriors scored the first six points of the game on a jumper by Udanoh and back-to-back layups by Jerry Oden.  A jumper by Oden and a free throw by Ian Larkin put WSU ahead 9-2.  Wayne State had a seven point lead at 20-13 following a jumper by Stacey Waters.

The Warriors held the lead the remainder of the first half and went into the locker room ahead 29-25.

HC scored the first seven points of the second half to take the lead for the first time.  Udanoh's layup ended a four-minute scoreless drought and made it a one-point game.  The Chargers scored the next five points before back-to-back Oden jumpers made it a two-point game at 37-35.  Two straight buckets by HC's Luke Laser increased the hosts' lead to six at 41-35.  Wayne State was not able to get any closer than four (41-37, 43-39, 46-42) the rest of the game.
