* GAME STORYLINES
Wayne State will begin its second four-game homestand of the season on Thursday against Saginaw Valley. The Warriors will have a chance to not only snap their three-game losing streak, but also deliver the Cardinals their fourth consecutive loss.
WSU will then play host to Lake Superior on Saturday. The Lakers could potentially enter the Matthaei on a four-game losing streak if they are defeated at Northwood on Thursday.
* ON THE BENCH
Gloria Bradley is in her 10th season at WSU and 17th season overall. Bradley's record at Wayne State is 110-148 while her career record stands at 224-217.
In her time at Wayne State, Bradley is 7-4 against Saginaw Valley and 1-12 vs. Lake Superior.
In just her second season at Saginaw Valley, Shannon Baugh has a record of 7-33 and is 0-2 against Wayne State.
Jamie Pewinski has guided Lake Superior to a 53-43 record during her four seasons and holds a 3-1 advantage over Bradley in head-to-head meetings.
* SERIES NOTES
While Saginaw Valley holds a 33-24 record over Wayne State, WSU has won four of the past six meetings dating back to the 2005-06 season. The Warriors won both games over Saginaw Valley last season by an average of 11 points a game.
Since 1992 Wayne State is just 4-22 against Lake Superior with 12 of the defeats being by 10 or more points. Last season, the Lakers defeated WSU at the Matthaei thanks to a last second bucket by the now graduated Jaclyn Armstrong.

Senior guard
Brooke Bowers needs 18 points to become just the 15th player in program history to eclipse 1,000 points.
Bowers has averaged 15.6 ppg in her career against Saginaw Valley, her highest scoring average against a GLIAC opponent, while also scoring 9.2 ppg against Lake Superior. Bowers is on pace to finish with 1,150 points, the eighth most in WSU history.

--Freshman forward
Deanna Crumpton's 16 blocks are the most from a truefreshman for WSU since Lisa Gentry's 17 in the 1981-82 season.
-Crumpton is also one of just two players in the top-10 in the GLIAC in blocked shots under six feet tall.
-Sophomore guard
Kiara Smith has set personal scoring highs in back-to-back games. In the past four games, Smith is averaging 8.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals a game.
-Bowers and sophomore guard
Felicia Thomas are the only Warriors to have played at least 20 minutes in each game this season.
* SCOUTING SAGINAW VALLEY
The Cardinals comes into Thursday's game having lost three straight and looking to win on the road for just the second time this season.
Saginaw Valley has shown a knack for getting to the foul line, taking a GLIAC-best 20.7 foul shots a game. Defensively, SVSU leads the GLIAC with 5.2 blocks per game.
Brittany Burkhardt is averaging 11.9 ppg and 5.5 rpg to lead the Cardinals.
* SCOUTING LAKE SUPERIOR
The Lakers enter the weekend in fourth place in the GLIAC North and on a three-game losing streak. Four players average 10 or more ppg for the Lakers with Maria Blazejewski leading the way at 14.8 ppg.
* HILLSDALE RECAP
The Wayne State women's basketball team fell to Hillsdale 70-56. WSU forced 20 Hillsdale turnovers.
Smith set a career-high with 15 points on 6-10 shooting to go with four assists. Thomas added nine points.
Bowers had five steals with freshman forward
Chelsea Davis adding a career-best three blocks.
Wayne State trailed 42-28 at halftime and played even with the Chargers for the first five minutes of the second half, but HC used a 13-5 run to extend its lead to 23 points and break the game open 64-41. WSU ended the game on an 8-2 run en route to the 70-56 defeat.
