* GAME STORYLINES
Winners of two of its past four games, the rejuvenated Wayne State women's basketball team will begin a four-game road trip this weekend with key GLIAC South games against Tiffin and Ashland.
* ON THE BENCH
Gloria Bradley is in her 10th season at WSU and 17th season overall. Bradley's record at Wayne State is 112-150 while her career record stands at 226-219.
In her time at Wayne State, Bradley is 2-2 against Tiffin and 6-13 vs. Ashland.
WSU will look for history to repeat itself on Thursday as both of Bradley's wins against Tiffin have come on the road.
Tiffin is led by third-year head coach Pam Oswald. Oswald is 24-37 during her time with the Dragons.
One of the longest tenured coaches in the GLIAC,
Sue Ramsey is in her 15th year at Ashland and has a record of 231-179 with the Eagles.
* SERIES NOTES
-Wayne State and Tiffin have met just six times with both schools claiming three victories.
-WSU came away with a 76-58 win in last season's trip to Tiffin thanks to 20 points from
Jasmine McCall. Current Warrior guard
Felicia Thomas added 11 points in the win.
-Ashland has had the better of Wayne State the past three games dating back to the 2007-08 season. The last time the Eagles and Warriors met was at Ashland with AU winning 87-75. Thomas scored what was then a career-high 12 points for WSU.
*WSU NOTES
-After shooting just 31.5 percent in December (six games), WSU has improved to shoot 38.6 percent in January (seven games).
-The Warriors' last win away from home came against Tiffin last season (2/21/09).
-In her past three games, Thomas is shooting 51.7 percent (15-29) from the floor.
-Freshman guard
Amelia Davis has played 30 minutes the past two contests and responded by totaling 14 points, 15 rebounds, nine assists and three steals.
-Wayne State ranks third in the GLIAC in offensive rebounds per game (13).
* SCOUTING TIFFIN
Tiffin begins the weekend tied with WSU in the GLIAC South standings. The Dragons are currently in the midst of a four-game losing streak, most recently losing to Hillsdale 101-64.
Guard Mandy Jaeb leads the conference in scoring at 21.8 points per game. With 8.7 rebounds per game, Tiffin's Jessica Harris is the GLIAC's second leading rebounder.
* SCOUTING ASHLAND
The Eagles have won their past four games to move into third place in the GLIAC South. Ashland has hit the 80-point mark the past two games. The Eagles are third in the conference with 10.1 steals per game.
Lindsay Gaut highlights the Eagle scoring attack with 16.3 ppg to go with her 4.4 assists per game.
* RECENT RESULTS
WSU shot 48.3 percent from the field and scored 30 points off 24 forced turnovers as the Warriors rolled to a 69-63 win over Ferris State.
The Warriors shot 60 percent from the field in the second half. For the game, WSU had an advantage in fast break scoring (13-6), assists (14-8) and steals (11-9).
Thomas and senior guard
Brooke Bowers tied for a game-high 13 points while
Amelia Davis had career-bests of nine points and nine rebounds.
WSU ended the weekend losing to Grand Valley 69-61. Wayne State made nine three-pointers against the Lakers and had a season-high 16 assists on 21 baskets.
With 12 points Bowers led a balanced Warrior attack. Freshman forward
Chelsea Davis scored 11 points and grabbed four rebounds.
Amelia Davis made her fourth start of the season and tallied a game-high eight assists, a team season-high. Freshman forward
Deanna Crumpton had eight points and six rebounds and junior guard
Chelsea Kouri added nine points.
