* GAME STORYLINES
After losing two games last week, the Wayne State women's basketball team enters this weekend's games at Saginaw Valley and Lake Superior in dire need of a pair of victories to remain in contention for a spot in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament.
* ON THE BENCH
Gloria Bradley is in her 10th season at WSU and 17th season overall. Bradley's record at Wayne State is 112-152 while her career record stands at 226-221.
In her time at Wayne State, Bradley is 8-4 against Saginaw Valley and 1-13 vs. Lake Superior.
Shannon Baugh is in her second year at Saginaw Valley with a record of 7-39. Baugh has already surpassed her win total from a year ago as she continues to rebuild the Cardinals.
In her fourth year with Lake Superior, Jamie Pewinski is 55-47. Pewinski has led LSSU to winning seasons in two of her first three years.
* SERIES NOTES
Wayne State has won five of the past seven games vs. Saginaw Valley dating back to the 2005-06 season.
The Warriors have won their last three games over the Cardinals by an average of 10.66 points a contest.
Earlier this season, WSU defeated SVSU 68-58 for its first GLIAC win of the season. The Warriors had 16 steals and were led by junior guard
Chelsea Kouri and freshman guard
Tyler Hardy who scored 17 and 12 points, respectively.
Wayne State has defeated LSSU just one time since 1998 and has lost four of the last six games by 10 or more points.
In WSU's 79-55 loss to the Lakers earlier this season, sophomore guard
Felicia Thomas led three Warriors in double figures with 15 points.

Chelsea Davis' 21-point effort at Ashland was the first 20-point game by a freshman since
Brooke Bowers' 24 against Findlay in 2006-07.
-Out of 500 ranked players, Bowers is 61st in NCAA Division II with 2.5 steals per game.
-Eight of Wayne State's losses this year have come against teams ranked in the top 10 in the Midwest Region.
*SCOUTING SAGINAW VALLEY
The Cardinals enter Thursday's meeting with WSU in the midst of a nine-game losing streak.
A bright spot for SVSU has been the shot blocking abilities of Grace Herzog, whose 3.2 bpg is the third most in Division II. Brittany Burkhardt leads SVSU in scoring (11.6 ppg) and rebounding (5.7 rpg).
* SCOUTING LAKE SUPERIOR
Since defeating WSU two weeks ago, Lake Superior has lost four consecutive games by a combined 21 points.
The Lakers average 7.1 three-pointers made a game which is the third most in the GLIAC. LSSU only commits 14.9 turnovers per game, the 11th best average in the nation.
LSSU features three of the top 15 scorers in the GLIAC with Maria Blazejewski leading the way at 13.6 ppg.
* RECENT RESULTS
WSU dropped a pair of games last week that were closer than the final scores would lead you to believe.
In its 76-61 loss at Tiffin, WSU shot a respectable 40 percent from the field and forced 22 turnovers in a game that was tied four times and featured three lead changes.
Freshman forward
Deanna Crumpton had 11 points and seven rebounds. Bowers, who was playing in her 100th game, added nine points, five assists and four steals.
WSU closed out the weekend with a loss at Ashland. Wayne State had a halftime lead for just the third time this season, but Ashland was able to comeback and defeat the Warriors 67-58.
Chelsea Davis had a career day for Wayne State, tallying 21 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks.
Crumpton scored a season-high 12 points and had eight rebounds. Bowers came off the bench to score 15 points while coming away with five steals. Thomas also had four steals.
