After winning all four of its four non-conference games to start the season, Wayne State is ready to embark upon its GLIAC schedule this week, heading on the road to face Lake Erie on Thursday and Ashland on Saturday.
The Warriors are coming off an 84-59 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan last Saturday in Detroit. The 5-0 Storm defeated Wheeling Jesuit, 83-54, on Tuesday. The Eagles extended their winning streak to four games with an 81-42 triumph over St. Joseph's (Ind.) on Sunday.
ALL-TIME SERIES
WSU trails Ashland, 27-14, in the all-time series dating back to the 1983-84 season. Wayne State defeated Ashland, 77-75, in Detroit last December on a tip-in by

Wayne State split its first two meetings with Lake Erie in 2010-11, the Storm's inaugural season in the GLIAC.
KENTUCKY WESLEYAN RECAP
Wayne State improved to 4-0 on the season with an 84-59 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan (3-2) on Saturday afternoon at the Matthaei.
The game marked WSU's highest team scoring output since a 93-73 win over Mercyhurst on Jan. 26, 2008.
Deanna Crumpton led four Warriors in double figures with 14 points, shooting 6-for-12 from the field.
Paige Sickmiller and
Phaebre Colbert combined for 23 points, eight steals, and 11 rebounds.
Wayne State earned its first win in five meetings with Kentucky Wesleyan and avenged an 81-72 overtime loss last November in Owensboro.
A jumper by Sickmiller put WSU up 5-4 and sparked a 12-point run for the Warriors, who led by double digits for the duration of the game. Sickmiller had 10 points in the contest.
Wayne State went into the locker room at halftime ahead, 41-25. Colbert was 5-for-7 from the field with a team-high 10 points and four rebounds in the first 20 minutes. She finished the game with 13 points, six boards and four steals.
The Warriors shot 51.7 percent compared to 28.2 percent for the Panthers. Wayne State's bench contributed 18 points to the offensive effort.
