Phaebre Colbert (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Northern) was selected GLIAC South Division Player of the Week after averaging 20 points and six rebounds in the Warriors two games last week.
Behind a career-best 11 field goals, Colbert scored a career-high 25 points in the Warriors first win, 83-74, at Ferris State since Jan. 4, 2003. She followed the performance by tallying a team-high 15 points in WSU's overtime loss at 21st-ranked Grand Valley (2/19).
Colbert has hit double figures in nine of the last 11 games after not reaching double digits the first 13 contests.
Wayne State closes its regular season with two home games at the Matthaei this week. The Warriors host Lake Superior on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. and face Hillsdale on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
