ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The Wayne State University women's swimming and diving squad won 14 of 16 events on Saturday to record a 189-111 dual-meet victory over conference rival Grand Valley State University.
Senior
Sarah Maraskine (Midland, Mich. / Dow) won three individual races against GVSU to lead the Warriors. Maraskine finished in first place in the 100 backstroke (59.00), 200 backstroke (2:09.95) and 200 IM (2:11.42).
WSU had several other multiple winners on the women's side. Sophomore
Kaylee Dolinski (Livonia, Mich. / Stevenson) won both distance events for the Warriors. Dolinski earned a victory in the 1000 freestyle, swimming a time of 10:51.95, and 500 freestyle by touching the wall first with a time of 5:20.51.
Freshman
Kristina Novichenko (Seversk, Russia) earned victories in the 100 and 200 butterfly. Novichenko finished the 100 butterfly in a time of 58.93 and touched the wall at 2:06.73 in the 200 butterfly.
Senior
Ashley Corriveau (Metamora, Mich. / Lapeer East) won both sprint distances, finishing first in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle. Corriveau had a time of 24.96 in the 50 freestyle and 53.71 in the 100 freestyle.
Junior
Paige Kortman (Holland, Mich. / Holland),
following a day in which she broke WSU varisty diving records, won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions on Saturday. Kortman won the 3-meter event with 321.60 points and earned the win in the 1-meter competition with 263.56 points.
Sophomore
Kei Cze Prentis (Shelby Twp., Mich. / Utica Eisenhower) also earned an individual victory for WSU, touching the wall first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:58.25.
Wayne State also won both relay events. The Warriors won the very first event of the day, winning the 400 medley relay by over 2 seconds. The quartet of Maraskine, junior
Kayla Scott (Rochester, Mich. / Adams), Novichenko and Corriveau finished with a time of 3:57.61.
WSU also picked up a relay win in the 400 freestyle relay. The WSU team of Corriveau, senior

Hannah Loesch (Harbor Springs, Mich.) and Prentis had a time of 3:36.55.
