DETROIT -- The Wayne State University women's swimming and diving team defeated Ashland in a dual meet Saturday afternoon at Messerly Natatorium.
The Warriors defeated the Eagles 128-97.
Mallory Moore (West Bloomfield, Mich.) won the 1000 freestyle in a time of 10.57.88 and
Emily Maraskine (Midland, Mich. / Dow) won the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:10.90.
Emily Heitchue (Royal Oak, Mich.) claimed victory in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:56.86 and placed third in the 100 freestyle (54.77).
Gloria Martinez Perez (Merida, Spain / IES Carolina Coronado) also won both the 50 freestyle touching the wall in 24.86 and the 100 freestyle in 53.45.
Kristina Novichenko (Seversk, Russia / Saint-Petersburg) won the 200 butterfly in a time of 2:05.86 and placed second in the 200 IM (2:12.10).
Hannah Loesch (Pensecola, Fla. / Homeschooled) came in third place in the 200 IM (2:17.43).
Kei Cze Prentis (Shelby Twp., Mich. / Utica Eisenhower) placed third in both the 200 freestyle (2:00.49) and 200 backstroke (2:13.87).
Kaylee Dolinski (Livonia, Mich. / Stevenson) placed second in the 1000 freestyle (11:03.31).
In diving,
Elizabeth Rawlings (Armada, Mich. / Romeo) won both the one-meter dive with a score of 255.15 and three-meter scoring a 232.50
Alex Geddis-McCririe (Brighton, Mich.) took second place in the one-meter dive (232.65).
Holly Krill (Kalamazoo, Mich. / Portage Central) placed third in one-meter dive (217.87) Geddis-McCririe took second in the three-meter (223.05) and Krill claimed third (218.77).
The Warriors return to the pool again Friday, swimming in at the Eastern Michigan Invitational beginning at 6 p.m.
