ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The Wayne State University women's swimming and diving team fell, 178-114, to Division I opponent, Oakland to open the 2016-17 campaign on Saturday afternoon at the Oakland University Aquatic Center in Rochester Hills, Mich.

RELAY RESULTS
- Wayne State scored two points in the first race after the quartet of senior
Emily Maraskine (Midland, Mich. / Dow), redshirt senior
Manuela Ferreira (Ibague, Colombia), junior
Abi Johns (Holland, Mich.) and sophomore
Lezlie Bueno Estrada (Montes Urales, Mexico) placed third in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:47.26.

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
- WSU swept both diving events as senior
Elizabeth Rawlings (Armada, Mich. / Romeo) won both the one-meter diving and three-meter diving events with total scores of 246.52 and 276.30, while junior
Holly Krill (Kalamazoo, Mich. / Portage Central) placed second (233.32; 232.05) and freshman
Morgan Hitchings (Grand Rapids, Mich. / City) finished third (227.55; 219.07).
- Bueno Estrada earned four points and a second-place finish for WSU in the 50 free with time of 24.22, and sophomore
Delayni Kornak-Kotarba (Comstock Park, Mich. / Rockford) and freshman
Ashlen Michalski (Shelby Twp., Mich. / Eisenhower) posted times of 25.58 and 26.11, respectively.
- Bueno Estrada notched a third-place finish in the 100 free with a time of 53.31, while sophomore
Emma Weber (Kalamazoo, Mich. / Portage Central) placed sixth (54.97).

Ellie Dean (Midland, Mich. / Dow) notched a fifth-place finish in the 1000 free with a time of 10:53.41, and redshirt freshman
Theresa Riviera (Rochester Hills, Mich. / Rochester Adams) and freshman
Natalie Krzemecki (Washington, Mich. / Romeo) finished the race with times of 11:14.82 and 11:16.56, respectively. Dean posted another fifth-place finish in the 500 free with a time of 5:21.99, while Krzemecki recorded a time of 5:33.94 for sixth place.
- Junior
Meghan Lamb (East China, Mich. / St. Clair) placed fifth (2:00.71) in the 200 free and freshman
Aliza Durack (West Bloomfield, Mich.) made her collegiate debut with a sixth-place finish with a time of 2:03.93.
- Senior
Brenna Gabrielson (Livonia, Mich. / Stevenson) recorded a fifth-place finish in the 100 back (1:00.49), while Johns placed sixth with a time of 1:01.02.
- Ferreira garnered a fifth-place finish in both the 100 breast (1:08.10) and 200 breast (2:30.73), and freshman
Kate Svisco (Shelby Twp., Mich. / Eisenhower) debuted in the pool with times of 1:09.36 (100 breast) and 2:32.23 (200 breast) to earn sixth place in both events.
- Sophomore
Hannah Berich (Rochester Hills, Mich. / Rochester Adams) posted a time of 2:14.83 in the 200 butterfly for fifth-place, while junior
Makayla Myers (Hudsonville, Mich.) earned a point for the Warriors with a time of 2:22.70.
- Wayne State tallied three points in the 200 back as Michalski finish fifth with a time of 2:14.48 and redshirt sophomore
Rachael Charlow (Grand Ledge, Mich.) place sixth (2:20.30).
