UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. — The Wayne State University women's swimming and diving team defeated Saginaw Valley by a score of 173-127 in GLIAC action on Friday.

Ellie Dean (Midland, Mich./Dow) and freshman
Theresa Riviera (Rochester Hills, Mich./Adams) took first and second, respectively, in the 1650 free posting times of 18:12.28 and 18:29.81.

Junior
Meghan Lamb (East China, Mich./St. Clair) garnered first place in the 200 free recording a time of 1:59.00, while freshman
Ashlen Michalski (Shelby Twp., Mich./Eisenhower) took second in 1:59.01.

Brenna Gabrielson (Livonia, Mich./Stevenson) was victorious in the 100 back logging a time of 57.93.

Elizabeth Rawlings (Armada, Mich./Romeo) won the one-meter diving event notching a score of 252.35, and also finished first in the three-meter diving event with a score of 289.60.

Sophomore
Lezlie Bueno Estrada (Montes Urales, Mexico) recorded another first-place finish for WSU winning the 100 free with a time of 53.26.

Dean won her second event of the evening in the 500 free posting a time of 5:16.62.

Emma Weber (Kalamazoo, Mich./Portage Central) powered the Warriors to a first-place finish in the 200 free relay recording a time of 1:39.08.

Manuela Ferreira (Ibague, Colombia), junior
Abi Johns (Holland, Mich.) and Weber led the way for the Green and Gold taking second place in the 200 medley relay in 1:47.45.
