SENIOR SPOTLIGHT - Brett Boes

In this edition of our Senior Spotlight series, we acknowledge Brett Boes, who was a five-year member of the men's golf team.

"Unfortunately Brett had a very bumpy career with injuries," stated head coach Mike Horn.  "He never was able to reach his full potential because he couldn't unfortunately stay healthy.  Brett is a hard-working and diligent young man.  He is going to make his name in the business world.  Brett will be an outstanding husband and father in the future."

The Dearborn native (Divine Child High School) was a four-time GLIAC All-Academic Team selection after earning Academic Honor Roll accolades six times.  Boes, who was a Global Supply Chain Management major, was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.5+) twice and the Coach's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.0-3.49) four times.

Boes played 42 rounds as a Warrior, averaging a career-best 74.8 during the 2018-19 academic year.  He missed the fall 2019 campaign due to an injury.  His best finish came at the 2017 Otter Creek Invitational as he tied-for-third with a 144 (72, 72).  His best round of 71 came during the second round of the 2017 NCAA Super Regional Tournament.

He was also a member of the WSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
