FINDLAY, Ohio -- The Wayne State University men's golf team finds itself in fourth place among a 17-squad field following day one and two rounds of Findlay's Doc Spragg Fall Invitational. The Warriors carded a 36-hole total of 572 (-4, 284-288), six strokes more than the host Oilers' 566 on top of the team leaderboard.
"The Warriors really battled today and had some really good moments," said head coach
Mike Horn. "Congratulations to basically the whole squad who really kept their head in it and we're grinding the entire day. Very proud of where we're at, but tomorrow is a big day to try and finish off a very successful fall season.
Josh Lahner had a great 69 in the second round and
Harrison Chapman had an under-par round as well. And congratulations to Jack (Julian) and Andrew (Daily) for shooting under par in the first round. We're looking to come out very strong tomorrow and make a bid for the win here in Findlay."
