DEARBORN, Mich. -- The Wayne State University men's golf won its own Motor City Shakedown on Tuesday afternoon at TPC Michigan.  The Warriors claimed top honors with a three-round score of 879 (+15, 301-288-290), five strokes better than Davenport in second place.

Individually, Will Pollack (Grand Rapids, Mich. / Forest Hills Northern), Troy Chapman (Lexington, Ohio) and Josh Lahner (Roselle, Ill. / Lake Park) were featured on the six-member All-Tournament Team as they finished second, third and fourth, respectively.

"All I've got to say is wow," said head coach Mike Horn.  "I did not think we were coming back for a victory today.  We sputtered early and didn't really have anything going and then the final six holes, we showed up.  We played those six holes minus seven as a team and hats off to every guy on the squad for battling until the end.  Congratulations to Troy Chapman on really helping us gain that victory.  Congrats to Josh (Lahner), Will (Pollack) and Troy (Chapman) for all being in the All-Tournament Team (top five).  This should be a great example of winning when you don't have your best early on, but if you keep after it and keep grinding, the outcome is never certain.  You can always be in charge of your destiny."
