Men's Swim and Dive in Ninth Place After Day 3 of NCAA Championships

Saturday morning prelims will begin at 11 am ET.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Only two members of the Wayne State University men's swimming and diving team participated in day three of the NCAA Championships.  The Warriors are currently ninth out of 29 teams that have scored with 119 points.
 
In the 200 fly consolation final, freshman Alex Capizzo (Fraser, Mich.) placed 13th (1:48.37).
 
In the 100 back consolation final, redshirt junior Franz Mueller (Brandenburg, Germany) finished 13th (48.02).
 
UP NEXT:
 
The Saturday morning prelims will begin at 11 am with freshman Michael Wolsek (Trenton, Mich.), Mueller, and sophomore Luka Cvetko (Varazdin, Croatia) participating in the 100 free prelims.  Capizzo will swim in the 200 breast.  All four will also be a part of the final event of the championships, the 400 free relay.
