Men's Golf Through Two Rounds at Kyle Ryman Memorial

TIFFIN, Ohio -- The Wayne State University men's golf program are in third place after the first two rounds of the Kyle Ryman Memorial, which began on Monday. The Warriors posted a score of 591 (301, 290). The event is being played at Mohawk Golf & Country Club (Par 72 / 6,633 Yards).

LEADING THE WAY
The hosts Tiffin and Malone are tied with matching scores of 588. Drew Gandy, who is playing as an individual for Hillsdale, is the low golfer after 36 holes with a 140 (69, 71).

WSU RESULTS
Max Leppelmeier (Wauseon, Ohio / Pettisville) shot a 146 (75, 71) and is tied-for-11th.

Josh DiCarlo (Amherstburg, Ont.) and Luke Pelak (Mattawan, Mich) is tied-for-14th as both carded 147s. DiCarlo paired rounds of 77 and 70, while Pelak went 74 and 73.

Tyler Hurtubise (Essex, Ont. / Essex District) finished day one with a 155 (79, 76) and Mat Hawryluk (Chatham, Ont. / Ursuline College Chatham) rounded out the Warrior starting lineup by posting a 156 (75, 81).

Competing as an individual, Garret Day (Chatham, Ont. / Ursuline College Chatham) was WSU's top performer on Monday and is tied-for-fifth with a 143 (71, 72)

Ian Smith (Canton, Mich. / Plymouth) was also solid, competing as an individual, posting a 145 (73, 72). He is tied-for-ninth.

Adam Burghardt (New Baltimore, Mich. / Warren De La Salle) is tied-for-19th after notching a 148 (75, 73).

Haydon Chapman (Marshall, Mich.) posted a 159 (80, 79), while Matt Pelak (Mattawan, Mich) shot a 160 (82, 78).

TEAM RESULTS
WSU is chasing Tiffin and Malone with Hillsdale and Findlay in the rear-view mirror.

UP NEXT
The Warriors will attempt to stay near the top of the leaderboard during the third and final round, which will be played on Tuesday morning.
