Women's Fencing Starts Season at Northwestern

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Wayne State University women's fencing team began the 2022-23 season this past weekend at the Remenyik Open hosted by Northwestern inside the Ryan Fieldhouse.

FOIL RESULTS
Ludovica Mancini (Rome, Lazio, Italy) competed on both days and tallied an overall record of 14-3, collecting a sixth-place finish and an 11th-place result.

EPEE RESULTS
Vika Shevchenko (Troy, Mich.) went 3-3, competing only during day two.

SABRE RESULTS
Reagan Byars (Warren, Mich. / Warren Woods Tower) made her collegiate debut and lost all seven of her bouts.

UP NEXT
The Warriors will compete at the Ohio State Open on Oct. 29th.
