ALLENDALE, Mich. -- Eleven (11) members of the Wayne State University women's indoor track and field squad competed at the GVSU Friday Big Meet.

PROVISIONAL MARKS
Junior Makayla Sumrall (Roseville, Mich.) notched her seventh provisional mark of the indoor season in the 60m dash with a time of 7.65.  She was rated 12th in the nation in the event heading into the weekend with a season-best time of 7.57.

800M
Freshman Emily Gordon (Northville, Mich.) clocked in at 2:17.25, the third fastest time in program history.

MILE
Junior Katherine Ray (Novi, Mich.) registered the ninth-fastest time in school history finishin in 5:11.27, while classmate Thailyia Christensen (Flushing, Mich.) recorded a time of 5:12.66.

5,000M
Freshman Reagan Justice (Canton, Mich. / Salem) recorded the sixth-fastest time in school history in the event crossing the finish line in 17:38.21.

Junior Charlene Yarema (Romeo, Mich.) achieved a time of 18:26.72.

Freshman Mattie Drennan (Clarkston, Mich.) ran an 18:37.78 in her heat.

Senior Ashley Defrain (Fort Gratiot, Mich. / Port Huron Northern) completed her heat in 18:52.63.

60M HURDLES
Senior Aliyah McDonald (Kingston, Jamaica) posted a season-best time of 8.94.

LONG JUMP
Junior Mikayla Williams (St. Charles, Mich.) produced the best long jump mark in four years (Jessie Kluz at the 2018 GLIAC Championships) with a distance of 5.49m on her third attempt.  Because Kluz has many of the top marks, Williams' effort will go down as the second-best in school history.

WEIGHT THROW
Junior MaKayla Rawls (Detroit, Mich. / Birmingham Seaholm) finished sixth with a best toss of 16.03m, which came on her first attempt.
