Women's Golf Through 18 Holes at GVSU

ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The Wayne State University women's golf program was back on the course on Sunday for the first round of the Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite hosted by Grand Valley State.  The Warriors are tied-for-seventh out of 15 teams with a round of 317.  Thee 36-hole event is being played at The Meadows (Par 72 / 6,011 Yards).

LEADING THE WAY
Findlay is in first place with a 297, while Emily Liptak from Walsh is the top individual , shooting a round of 71.

WSU RESULTS
Beca Vestman (Madrid, Spain) carded a 77 and is tied-for-16th.

Avery Howard (Muskegon, Mich. / Reeths-Puffer) and Sabel Imesch (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich. / Grosse Pointe South) both shot rounds of 78 and are tied-for-24th.

Logan Potts (Norton Shores, Mich. / Mona Shores) carded an 84, while Natalie Groom (Orangevale, Calif. / El Camino Fundamental) posted an 86.

Orianna Bylsma (Montague, Mich.) played as an individual and finished day one with an 88.

The second and final round of the tournament will start on Monday morning.
