DETROIT -- Taking on Davenport and Ashland for the first home event of the 2023-24 season, the Wayne State University women's swimming and diving team handled its business. The Warriors defeated the Panthers and Eagles with scores of 135.5-98.5 and 182-53, respectively. Next up on the schedule, WSU will be at Northern Michigan on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 10 a.m.
"Tonight was very exhilarating, with so many dynamics at work," said head coach
Sean Peters. "On the women's side, I was quite pleased with the progress that quite a few of our women have made from last year to the start of this season, and we really got a strong challenge from the Davenport squad. I think we have a lot of potential to grow from there. I am proud of our Warriors this evening, and looking forward to growing and going forward from here."
