DETROIT -- Home for the second week in a row, the 12th-ranked Wayne State University women's swimming and diving team hosted No. 6 Grand Valley State on Saturday afternoon inside the Matthaei Natatorium.  The Lakers came out on top though and did so with a score of 190.5-109.5.

"I was very proud of the Warriors," said head coach Sean Peters.  "Today was a hard fought and very honorable meet by both programs.  There were some amazing times and I was so pleased that the Warriors took today to compete against one of the top programs in the country.  We had many great performances and I definitely see improvement from last week to this week.  I eagerly look forward to next week, and I fully realize that we will have challenges waiting for us!  We will keep working hard and rising up to those challenges.  There were many highlights from swimmers like Jordan Fox, Khalil Ben-Ajmia, Trevor Jones, Max Wasiniak, Jeffrey Cottingham and Barbara Munoz.  However, there were so many improvements made by so many Warriors and I am very excited as we are about a month away from our conference championships."
