DETROIT -- The Wayne State University women's swimming team opened its 2024-25 home slate with a 117-83 defeat of Hillsdale on Saturday afternoon inside the Matthaei Natatorium. The Warriors touched the wall in first place for seven of the two teams' 11 head-to-head races.
"Our Warrior women did a great job competing today against the Hillsdale Chargers," said head coach
Sean Peters. "The Warriors really came out strong in the first part of the meet, and despite having some challenges thrown our way, we finished on a very good note. I was really proud, and we had first-place finishes from
Alli Vassilakos,
Barbara Munoz,
Sabine Branford,
Elly Belmore and
Delaney Parker, who touched first in the 200 breast."
