HOLLAND, Mich. -- The Wayne State University men's swimming and diving team finished in third place out of seven squads on Monday with a total of 594.5 points at the 2024 GLIAC Championships. First-year Warrior
Khalil Ben Ajmia (Tunis, Tunisia / Lycée Pierre De Coubertin) was named GLIAC Swimmer of the Year and GLIAC Freshman of the Year.
"Overall, having the Warriors finish second place with the women and third place with the men is absolutely fantastic!," said head coach
Sean Peters. "We swam and dove so well against some of the toughest competition in the country, and we really threw everything we had into this meet. We brought energy to each session, and we enjoyed each moment together.
We saw a few team and meet records fall this weekend, and we were honored to see
Khalil Ben Ajmia be named Men's Swimmer and Freshman of the Year, Jordan Fox named Women's Swimmer of the Year, and Mikaela Senkus named Women's Diver of the Year. We proudly represented the 313."
