DETROIT -- The Wayne State University softball squad, under the direction of fourth-year head coach Nicole Tines, will begin its 2025 campaign this coming weekend (February 15-16) at the Lincoln Memorial Invitational in Harrogate, Tenn.

WSU will battle tournament host LMU at noon on Saturday followed by a 4 pm contest vs. Kentucky Wesleyan.  The next day the Warriors will play Davis & Elkins at 10 am and the LMU Railsplitters at noon.

The following weekend, Wayne State heads to the Lewis Dome Invitational in Rosemont, Ill.  The two games on Friday (Feb. 21) will be against Bemidji State and St. Cloud State, followed by contests versus Lewis and Minnesota Duluth on Saturday, Feb. 22.

WSU is slated to have its home opener on Sunday, March 2nd with a twinbill against Findlay before heading to Florida for its spring break trip.  The Warriors will play 12 games in an eight-day span in Clermont, Fla. as part of the NTC Spring Games.

After returning north, Wayne State is scheduled to host former GLIAC rival Northwood on March 19.

WSU commences GLIAC play the weekend of March 22-23 with home doubleheaders vs. Davenport and Ferris State, respectively.  A home twinbill against Saginaw Valley State on March 26 concludes an eight-game home stand.

The Warriors travel to the Central time zone for conference games at Parkside (March 29) and GLIAC newcomer Roosevelt (March 30).  A non-league home doubleheader against Tiffin (April 2) precedes home conference tilts vs. Grand Valley State (April 5) and Purdue Northwest (April 6) to conclude the first half of the GLIAC schedule.

After a mid-week trip to SVSU (April 9), Wayne State will entertain RU (April 12) and Parkside (April 13).  The following weekend, WSU will visit FSU (April 18) and Davenport (April 19) before hosting Ohio Dominican (April 22) for its fourth doubleheader against a former GLIAC foe.  The regular-season concludes with twinbills at PNW (April 25) and GVSU (April 26).

The 2025 GLIAC Tournament is scheduled for May 1-4 at the Ballpark at Rosemont.
