Tripp Voted To D2CCA All-Midwest Region Second Team

DETROIT -- Wayne State University senior women's basketball forward Shea Tripp (Jackson, Mich. / Michigan Center) has been selected to the D2CCA All-Midwest Region Second Team as announced by the organization on Thursday.

Tripp, who broke the WSU single-season record for starts in Friday's NCAA Tournament win over Lewis, finished her final campaign for the Green and Gold setting career-highs in points (450), rebounds (250), assists (127), three-pointers made (21), minutes played (991), field goals made (175), field goal percentage (.494) and three-point field goal percentage (.368).

Her 1,328 career points ranks fourth in program history, and is the second-most of any women's basketball player at WSU in the last 32 seasons. Tripp's 12.0 points per game average is 16th (minimum 50 games played). Her 495 made field goals is fifth all-time and she ranks 24th in all-time field goal percentage (.468 / 495-1057). Tripp's 293 made free throws is fourth in program history, while her .783 career free throw percentage (293-374) is 12th all-time (min. 90 made). She totaled 700 rebounds which is seventh in the Warrior annals, while her 6.3 rebounds per contest is 19th (min. 50 games played). Tripp is seventh in career assists (344), and eighth in assists per game (3.1 / min. 50 games played). Her 45 career blocked shots is 17th. Tripp finished with 237 career steals, the most by any women's basketball standout since 1986 and ranks fourth in program history, while her 2.1 steals per contest is 11th (min. 50 games played). She played in 111 career games (tied-for-seventh all-time), while her 91 starts is tied-for-eighth. Tripp's 2,942 minutes played is ninth in Wayne State history.
