NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- After leading the second-place squad by two strokes through round one on Sunday, the Wayne State University men's golf team fell back to second place following Monday's action. The Warriors carded an eight-over 296 for a two-round score of 579, three shots behind Missouri S&T's 576 atop the leaderboard. Individually,
Josh DiCarlo is WSU's ringleader in a tie-for-fifth.
"Really tough day today," said head coach
Mike Horn. "It's the first time all spring that we lost our composure and didn't execute. It was a real feel of 24° for the last six holes and we didn't battle like we normally do. We will regroup for tomorrow and be ready to go and try to get back on top. Very good play from Josh (DiCarlo) today shooting under par in those conditions."
