Women's Swimming and Diving Places 13 On GLIAC All-Academic Teams

DETROIT -- Thirteen (13) members of the 2024-25 Wayne State University women's swimming and diving squad were recognized with GLIAC All-Academic honors.  Head coach Sean Peters women's team has had 118 academic honorees over the last seven seasons.

Criteria states the student-athlete must be an active member on the roster at the end of the season, and not a freshman or a first-year transfer student.

Grade-point averages listed are calculated through the fall semester since that was the last grading period before the season ended.

Elly Belmore, Jr., St. Clair Shores, Mich. / Lakeview, Exercise & Sport Science, 3.91 (second straight year on the All-Academic Excellence Team)
Sabine Branford, Sr., Plymouth, Mich. / Salem, Mechanical Engineering, 3.60 (third consecutive season on the All-Academic Excellence Team)
Megan Delaere, Jr., Rochester Hills, Mich. / Rochester, Psychology, 3.90 (second straight year on the All-Academic Excellence Team)
Evie Dice, Gr., Waterford, Mich. / Clarkston, Master's in Exercise & Sport Science, 4.00 (third consecutive season on the All-Academic Excellence Team)

Belmore was named to the CSC Academic All-America Second Team, while Dice received an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.  Branford, Belmore, Dice and Muccioli were CSC Academic All-District honorees.
