Women's Cross Country Picked Third in GLIAC Preseason Coaches Poll

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University women's cross country team was picked to finish third in the 2025 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) 2025 Preseason Coaches Poll as was announced on Thursday.

Joining the Green and Gold in the top five are Grand Valley State (100 points / 10 first-place votes), Parkside (84 points / one first-place vote), Saginaw Valley State (77 points), and Michigan Tech (65 points). GVSU has continued its streak of being picked to finish first in all seven installments of the poll. Wayne State's third-place selection is tied for the second-highest since the poll started in 2018 as the squad was picked to finish sixth in the inaugural poll, fourth in 2019, third in 2021 and 2022, and second in 2023 and 2024.

WSU has two three-year letterwinners ahead of the 2025 campaign in Robin Bresolin (LaSalle, Ont. / St. Thomas of Villanova) and Aubrey Migoski (Wyandotte, Mich. / Roosevelt). Joining them are a pair of two-time letterwinners as Rachel Felstow (Leonard, Mich. Romeo) and Sarah Greb (Washington, Mich. / Romeo) both return for their redshirt junior seasons. Taylor Hopkins (Sanford, Mich. / Meridian [Northwood]) is back for the Warriors as well after a 2024 season in which she competed in the NCAA Midwest Regional.

Ninth-year head coach Grant Lofdahl returns as well and aims to make it four straight years with at least one member of the WSU women's cross country squad competing in the NCAA Championships.
