Men's Golf Moves Up Two Spots at Folds of Honor Challenge

Wayne State was 15 strokes better in round two than the first 18, 296 to 281.

ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The Wayne State University men's golf team came to play on Tuesday morning for day two of the Folds of Honor Challenge at The Meadows Golf Course. The Warriors carded a 281, 15 strokes better than Monday's output, for a two-day total of 577 (+9, 296-281). That total is tied with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for second place, just five strokes behind the host Grand Valley State atop the leaderboard.

"Really proud of the boys today!," said head coach Mike Horn. "Excellent play from Andrew (Daily) and Will (Pollack) and really solid play from the rest of the guys, including an even par from Josh (Lahner) and Troy (Chapman). We put ourselves in a position to contend tomorrow and looking forward to really getting after it early and trying to put some pressure on Grand Valley. We will really have to concentrate on holes six and seven tomorrow. Those two holes hurt us in the first two rounds."
