DETROIT -- Senior forward Gabi Lutchka (Grass Lake, Mich.) of the Wayne State University women's basketball team was named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Lutchka earns the honor after helping the Warriors to a pair of wins last week against Parkside and Roosevelt.  In the 95-88 triumph over the Rangers, she scored a career-high 32 points (12-of-17 FG, 4-of-5 3PT, 4-of-4 FT), while hauling in nine rebounds, dishing out four assists, and tallying two steals.  During the 78-50 win against the Lakers, the 2023-24 All-GLIAC Second Team selection notched her third double-double of the season with a game-high 25 points and a team-best 10 rebounds. 

In the First half against RU, she was perfect from the floor (5-of-5 FG, 2-of-2 3PT), and finished the game +34 when on the court.

The women's hoops team travels to Michigan's Upper Peninsula to face Michigan Tech on Thursday, January 22, and Northern Michigan on Saturday, January 24.
