JENISON, Mich. - The Wayne State men's swimming and diving team is in
sixth place after the first night of the 2012 GLIAC Championships.
Wayne State has 32 points, 76 off the pace set by Grand Valley State (108). While only two men's events were held Wednesday, it was a tough night for the Warriors as their 200 medley relay was disqualified.
Leading three Warriors to accumulate points in the 1000 freestyle was
Kristian Larsen who was the runner-up and earned an NCAA “B” qualifier (9:25.71).
Jordan Papp came in ninth (9:48.12) and
Cameron Fryzel finished 11th (9:51.51).
The GLIAC Swimming and Diving Championships will continue Thursday with prelims starting at 10:30 a.m.
