HOT SPRINGS, Ark. -- The Wayne State University men's golf team concluded its season at the NCAA Midwest Central/Midwest Super Regional on Friday with the final 36 holes and the Warriors shot a 306 and 309 and to finish in 19th place with a 54-hole total of 920 (305, 306, 309). The schedule was shifted to play 36 holes on Friday due to rain expected in the area on Saturday.
The three-day event was played at Hot Springs Country Club (Par 72 / 6,713 Yards).
The NCAA selects 10 teams from each of the eight regions to compete in the postseason in one of four "super regionals" where each region is paired with another to play in a 20-team field. The Midwest Region is grouped with the Central Region and the 20 teams will vie for a spot at the NCAA Championships.
At a minimum, the top six teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional (regardless of region) advance to the finals on May 21-25 in Muscle Shoals, Ala.
