DETROIT -- The Wayne State University men's golf team is prepared for its final tournament of the fall season, its own Motor City Shakedown.  The two-day event will be played at West Shore Golf Club in Grosse Ile, Mich. and feature five teams.  Different than the normal format, squads are able to play six golfers, but still only count the top four scores.

"The Warriors are excited to host at West Shore for the first time ever," said head coach Mike Horn.  "We should have great weather for the event, but unfortunately a lot of our guys are under the weather physically.  Hopefully they can persevere.  Looking for a breakout performance from Jacob Palomares and Will Pollack, who I think are poised to start coming into their own.  I think Jack Julian is rounding into shape to compete for his first-ever victory for the Warriors.  The guys that aren't feeling well hopefully can grind it out.  The sunshine and warm weather should help.  Thank you for the teams that are traveling and participating.  We want to grow this event into bigger and better than we've ever had before.  The Warriors are looking to cap off a very successful fall over the next two days."
