Ahmed Elsayed Performs Well in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS -- Redshirt junior Ahmed Elsayed (Tanta, Gharbia, Egypt) competed at a 2021 North American Cup on Monday.  He finished 12th overall in the epee among 252 total fencers.

During two rounds of pool results of the event, Elsayed went 8-4.  After a bye, he went 3-1 in direct elimination, advancing to the round of 16.

Additionally, former Warrior and current assistant coach Ziad Elsissy finished second in the saber on Oct. 30th.  He won all six of his bouts during the pool portion of the schedule.  Following a bye, top-seeded Elsissy went 5-0 in bracket-style competition before losing in the finals.
