Men's Fencing Returns to Action at Danosi Open

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University men's fencing program was back on the strip for the annual Istvan Danosi Open on Sunday inside the Mort Harris Recreation & Fitness Center.  

FOIL RESULTS
Jacob Pochmara (Waterford Twp., Mich. / Clarkston) finished 8-2 and placed second in the foil.  Quinlyn Morgan (Olathe, Kan. / Homeschooled / Olathe East) posted a 6-2 mark and tied-for-third.  Morgan lost to teammate Pochmara in the final four.

EPEE RESULTS
Ramadan Dinkins (Chicago, Ill. / GCE Lab School) was the runner-up in the epee with an 8-2 record.  Morgan changed weapons and went 6-4 before falling to Dinkins in the semifinals.

UP NEXT
The Warriors will compete at Ohio State on Dec. 4-5.
