Nine Cross Country Runners Compete at GVSU Friday Big Meet

ALLENDALE, Mich. -- Nine members of the Wayne State University men's cross country squad competed at the GVSU Friday Big Meet as unattached.

Redshirt sophomore Ransom Allen (Ithaca, Mich.) placed 17th with a provisional time of 4:10.48.

Eight different Warriors participated in various heats of the 5K event.

Freshman Carson Nicoletti (Shelby Twp., Mich. / Utica) led the WSU contingent with a time of 14:55.45.

Redshirt freshman Tyler Buchanan (Fenton, Mich. / Linden) posted a time of 15:04.26.

Fifth-year senior Trystan Thayer (Grand Rapids, Mich. / Forest Hills Central) ran a 15:12.73.

Redshirt junior Ethan Byrnes (Plymouth, Mich.) crossed the finish line in 15:33.67.

Redshirt junior Ulises Rodriguez (Pontiac, Mich. / Oxford) completed his heat in 15:37.93.
