Men's Fencing Has Success at Conference Championships

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Wayne State University men's fencing team had some strong individual results at the Central Collegiate Fencing Conference Championships on Sunday. As a team, WSU went 0-3 after falling to Ohio State (4-23), Cleveland State (8-19) and Lawrence (9-18).

FOIL RESULTS
Quinlyn Morgan (Olathe, Kan. / Homeschooled / Olathe East) led the way for the Green & Gold with an 8-1 record.

EPEE RESULTS
Ahmed Elsayed (Tanta, Gharbia, Egypt) won seven of his nine matchups.

SABRE RESULTS
Eyad Marouf (Alexandria, Egypt) finished 6-3.

UP NEXT
WSU will travel back to Ohio State for the NCAA Regionals on March 12th.
