Ahmed Elsayed Finishes Run at NCAA Championships

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Redshirt junior Ahmed Elsayed (Tanta, Gharbia, Egypt) concluded epee competition at the 2022 NCAA Championships on Sunday and posted a 12-11 to finish in 14th place (-2 touch score) during the five-round, two-day event.

He just missed earning his second career All-American award as the top the top 12 earn that distinction.  Elsayed tied-for-11th in terms of wins (12).  In the men's team standings he was 17th out of 21 and ranked 25th out of 27 teams combined as the lone Warrior competing.  Elsayed went 6-9 (-10) on day one.

The four-day event was hosted by Notre Dame inside the Castellan Family Fencing Center.
