Fox & Senkus - 2023 NCAA Championships

Fox and Senkus Both Place Second on Day Four of NCAA Championships

Fox did so in the 500 free and Senkus was runner-up in the three meter dive.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Jordan Fox (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia / Mentone Grammar) and Mikaela Senkus (Macomb, Mich. / Utica Academy for International Studies) of the Wayne State University women's swimming and diving team were at it again on Friday night with First Team All-American honors for day four of the NCAA Championships. Fox placed second in the 500 free with a time of 4:50.13 and Senkus was the runner-up for the three meter dive with a mark of 479.70.

Also in action for the Warriors was Barbara Munoz (Yumbo, Colombia / Comfandi Yumbo) in the 200 fly with an Honorable Mention All-American finish of ninth place and time of 2:00.85.

WSU's final event of the day came in the form of the 200 free relay. There, the team of Munoz, Hannah Gurecki (Macomb, Mich. / L'Anse Creuse North), Evie Dice (Waterford, Mich. / Clarkston), and Sabine Branford (Plymouth, Mich. / Salem) touched the wall in 16th for Honorable Mention All-American distinction.
