LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Wayne State University men's golf team played its second-to-last tournament of the regular season on Monday and Tuesday, the Findlay Spring Invitational at Kentucky's Big Blue Golf Course. The Warriors finished fifth among 20 teams (+15, 879, 296-288-295) and were paced by
Max Leppelmeier (Wauseon, Ohio / Pettisville) in a tie for seventh with an even score of 216 (72-73-71).
"The Warriors battled wind and weather again," said head coach,
Mike Horn. "We played some solid golf, but still have a lot of short game areas to clean up. It's time for us to clean up the silly mistakes in preparation for the GLIAC Championships and the NCAA Tournament. Good playing by Max (Leppelmeier) and Mat (Hawryluk)!!
