FINDLAY, Ohio -- Playing in its second-to-last tournament of the fall season, the Wayne State University men's golf team is in fourth place among 19 squads after two rounds of Findlay's Doc Spragg Fall Invitational. The Warriors carded a 575 (-1, 281-294) and were paced individually by
Andrew Daily (Brighton, Mich.) in a tie-for-10th with a 142 (-2, 69-73).
"We battled all day," said head coach
Mike Horn. "Between the weather and the slow methodical pace, we held it together really well for 30 holes, really struggled on the last six. Hopefully we can follow our script that we've had all season where we play okay the first day and really play well the second day. We're gonna need that if we are going to catch anybody ahead of us. We need all five guys playing like they can from the moment the first tee shot is hit. Congrats to
Andrew Daily on a very strong day all the way around."
